Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the town of Chimanimani. Take the main road (N2) heading northeast toward the town of Maronga. After approximately 30 km, look for the sign to turn left onto the dirt road leading to Mount Namuli. Follow this road for about 15 km until you reach the base of Mount Namuli. Parking is available at the designated area near the trailhead.
Public Transportation (Minibus)
From Chimanimani, you can catch a minibus heading toward Maronga. Ensure you inform the driver that you want to stop near Mount Namuli, as they will only stop at designated points. The fare is typically around 50 MZN. Once you reach the drop-off point, you will need to walk approximately 5 km on a dirt path towards the base of Mount Namuli. It is advisable to ask locals for directions to ensure you are on the right track.
Hiking
If you prefer hiking, you can start from the nearest lodge or campsite in Chimanimani. Follow the marked trails leading to Mount Namuli, which is about a 20 km hike. This journey will take you through beautiful landscapes, but be prepared for a full day's hike. It is advisable to start early in the morning and bring enough water and supplies. Note that there are no costs associated with hiking, but consider any entry fees for the national park if applicable.
