Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the Chimanimani village. Head east on the main road towards the Chimanimani Mountains National Park. After approximately 10 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork that leads into the park. Continue on this road for about 5 kilometers. You will see signs indicating the direction to Tessa's Pool. Follow these signs for another 3 kilometers until you reach the parking area. From the parking area, Tessa's Pool is a short 15-minute walk along a marked trail.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take a shared taxi or minibus from Chimanimani town to the entrance of Chimanimani Mountains National Park. This should cost around 5-10 ZWL and will take approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you will need to pay an entrance fee of around 20 ZWL. After entering the park, you can either walk or hire a local guide to take you to Tessa's Pool. The walk will take about 30-45 minutes along a marked trail.
Hiking
For those who are adventurous and already in the vicinity, you can hike to Tessa's Pool from various starting points within the Chimanimani Mountains. One popular starting point is the 'Cecil John Rhodes' hiking trail. From there, follow the trail markers that lead towards Tessa's Pool. Ensure you have proper hiking gear and enough water, as this trek can be challenging and takes about 2-3 hours depending on your pace.
