Car
If you are driving, head towards the city of Inhambane. From Inhambane, take the EN1 road towards Maxixe. After crossing the bridge, stay on the EN1 for about 10km until you reach the turnoff to Tofo Beach (look for signs). Follow the signs onto the road leading to Praia Tofo. The beach is approximately 20km from the EN1 turnoff. The roads are generally in good condition, but be cautious of potholes and livestock on the road. Parking is available near the beach.

From Inhambane, you can take a chapa (shared minibus) to Tofo Beach. Head to the chapa terminal located near the market in Inhambane. Look for a chapa heading to Tofo or Praia Tofo. The fare is usually around 30-50 Meticais, but confirm with the driver. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to let the driver know your destination. The chapa will drop you off at the main road, from where you can walk a short distance to the beach.
