Note that a high clearance vehicle is required due to rough road conditions in some areas.

    To reach Barra Lighthouse via public transport, take a chapa (shared minibus) from Inhambane City to Maxixe. The chapas leave frequently from the main taxi rank. Once you arrive in Maxixe, you can hire a local taxi or find another chapa heading towards Barra Beach. Inform the driver that you wish to go to Barra Lighthouse. The taxi fare should be around 100-200 MZN. Upon reaching the coastal road, follow the directions to the lighthouse as described above.
