Walking
From the Matola bus station, head south towards Avenida da República. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Avenida 25 de Setembro. Turn left onto Avenida 25 de Setembro and keep walking for approximately 20 minutes. You will eventually reach the city center of Maputo. As you approach Praça 25 de Junho, keep an eye out for the Fortress of Maputo, which is located right next to the Fishing Port.

Bicycle
You can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Matola. Start your journey by heading south towards the main road. Once on Avenida da República, travel east for about 3 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Avenida 25 de Setembro. Turn left and continue cycling straight for about 7 kilometers. You will pass several shops and restaurants. After about 25 minutes of cycling, you will arrive at Praça 25 de Junho, where the Fortress of Maputo is located at the port.

Public Transportation (Minibus)
From Matola, board a minibus heading to Maputo. Look for minibuses that indicate 'Maputo' on the front. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the main bus terminal in Maputo, exit the minibus and walk towards Avenida 25 de Setembro. Head east on Avenida 25 de Setembro for about 10 minutes until you reach Praça 25 de Junho. The Fortress of Maputo will be visible next to the fishing port.
