Once you reach the beach, you can park your car and walk towards the shoreline to access the Mozambique Channel directly.
Public Transportation
To reach the Mozambique Channel via public transport, take a local chapa (minibus) from Beira to Inhambane. Chapas are available from the main bus station in Beira. The fare is approximately 100-150 Meticais and the journey takes about 5-6 hours. Once in Inhambane, you can take another local transport option to Tofo Beach, which is about 20 kilometers away. Expect to pay around 50 Meticais for the short taxi ride to the beach, where you can then stroll to the Mozambique Channel.
Bicycle
For the adventurous traveler, renting a bicycle in Beira and cycling to the Mozambique Channel is an excellent way to experience the scenery. The distance to Tofo Beach is about 30 kilometers.
