    If you are driving, start from Tofo Beach and head southwest on the main road (EN1) towards Inhambane. Continue on this road for about 20 kilometers until you see signage for Barra. Turn left onto the road leading into Barra. Keep an eye out for the Underwater Africa sign as you approach; it will be on the right side of the road. The journey should take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, take a chapa (shared taxi) from Tofo Beach to Inhambane. This ride will cost around 20-30 MZN and takes about 30 minutes. Once in Inhambane, you can catch another chapa heading to Barra. This ride will cost you an additional 20-30 MZN and take around 15 minutes. Ensure you inform the driver you want to stop at Underwater Africa, as it is a well-known destination in the area.

    If you're staying in Barra or nearby, you can walk to Underwater Africa. From the center of Barra, head towards the main road (EN1) and walk southeast for about 1 kilometer. The dive center will be on your right. This walk should take you around 15-20 minutes.
