Getting There

Bicycle
From the center of Bagan, head east towards the main road (Nyaung U Road). Once you reach the road, turn left and continue cycling for about 30 minutes. Keep an eye out for the sign for Mount Popa, which will be on your right. You may need to ask locals for directions if you're unsure. Once you reach the base of Mount Popa, you will find a parking area where you can lock your bicycle.

Rent an e-bike from one of the rental shops located in Nyaung U or Old Bagan. Start your journey by heading east on the main road (Nyaung U Road). Continue straight for approximately 30 minutes. Look for the sign indicating Mount Popa on your right. As you approach, you will see the mountain rising in the distance. There will be a designated parking area for e-bikes at the base of Mount Popa.

Find a horse cart in Nyaung U or Old Bagan. Negotiate a price with the driver to take you to Mount Popa. The journey will take about 45 minutes to an hour. The horse cart will navigate through the rural roads and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. Once you arrive, the driver will drop you off at the base of Mount Popa.
