If you are starting from Old Bagan, head south towards the main road, which is called the Bagan-Nyaung U Road. Once you reach the road, turn left (east) and walk along it. Keep walking for about 10 minutes until you see the sign for the Palace Excavation Site on your right. The excavation site will be a little off the main road, and you may need to follow a small path leading to the site.

From Old Bagan, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Start cycling towards the Bagan-Nyaung U Road. Turn left (east) and cycle for about 10 minutes. Look for the sign for the Palace Excavation Site on your right. You might need to park your bicycle nearby and walk a short distance to reach the excavation site.

If you prefer a more traditional mode of transport, consider hiring a horse cart. Ask your cart driver to take you to the Palace Excavation Site.
