Walking
From New Bagan, start at the main road (Nyaung U - Bagan Road) and head north towards Old Bagan. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road. Continue straight, and you will see the entrance to Old Bagan on your left. The entire walk should take around 20-30 minutes depending on your pace.
Bicycle Rental
Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in New Bagan. Once you have your bike, head north on the main road (Nyaung U - Bagan Road) for about 1.5 kilometers. You'll see signs directing you to Old Bagan. The bike ride will take around 10-15 minutes. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules.
Horse Cart
Find a horse cart (also known as a pony cart) in New Bagan. Negotiate a price with the driver before starting your journey. The trip to Old Bagan should take about 20-30 minutes, and prices typically range from 3,000 to 5,000 kyats, depending on your negotiation skills. Enjoy the scenic ride as you make your way to Old Bagan.
Electric Scooter Rental
You can rent an electric scooter in New Bagan from various rental shops. After securing your scooter, head north on the main road (Nyaung U - Bagan Road). Continue for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach Old Bagan. The ride will take around 10 minutes. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow traffic regulations.
