Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Bago town center. Head south on Pyay Road (also known as Highway 1) towards Yangon. After approximately 83 kilometers, you will reach the outskirts of Yangon. Continue to follow the signs for the city center. Once in Yangon, navigate towards the city center and look for the Sule Pagoda, which is located at Q5G5+PG8. Be sure to find parking nearby, as street parking may be limited.
Public Transportation
To reach Sule Pagoda via public transportation, start from Bago's main bus station. Board a bus heading to Yangon, which is a common route. The bus ride will take about 2 to 3 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Aung Mingalar Bus Terminal in Yangon, you can take a taxi or a motorbike taxi to Sule Pagoda. Alternatively, you can catch a local bus or use ride-hailing apps to reach the pagoda directly from the terminal.
