Getting There

• Car

  From Bago, take the Yangon-Bago Road (Highway 1) heading south towards Yangon. The journey is approximately 80 km and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. Once you reach Yangon, follow the signs to downtown and look for Maha Bandula Road, where the City Hall is located. There is paid parking available near the City Hall, so you might need to budget around 500-1000 MMK for parking.

• Bus

  Head to the Bago Bus Station and take a direct bus to Yangon. Buses leave frequently and the ride takes about 2 to 3 hours, costing between 2,000 and 5,000 MMK depending on the bus service. Once you arrive at the Yangon bus terminal, you can take a taxi or local transport to Maha Bandula Road. The taxi ride will cost around 1,000-2,000 MMK.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route from anywhere in Bago Region, you can hire a taxi for a private transfer to Yangon City Hall. The cost may vary based on the distance and negotiation, but it generally ranges from 30,000 to 50,000 MMK for a one-way trip.

• Train

  Take a train from Bago to Yangon. The train station in Bago is located near the center of town. The train ride takes about 3 to 4 hours and costs around 1,000 to 3,000 MMK. Once you arrive at Yangon Central Railway Station, you can grab a taxi to Maha Bandula Road for about 1,000-2,000 MMK.
