If you are driving a car, first ensure you have a reliable map or GPS device. From Mandalay, head south on Route 1 towards Myingyan. Continue on Route 1 until you reach the junction at Myingyan, then take Route 15 towards the town of Wundwin. Drive for about 30 kilometers until you reach Wundwin. From Wundwin, follow the signs towards Yawnghwe and Mount Main Ma Ye Thakinma. The mountain is located about 12 kilometers from Wundwin, and you will find signs leading you to the site.

Public Transportation
To reach Mount Main Ma Ye Thakinma by public transport, start by taking a bus from Mandalay to Myingyan. Buses run frequently, and the ride takes about 2-3 hours. Upon arrival in Myingyan, you will need to find a local bus or shared taxi to Wundwin. The fare for this short trip is usually around 1,000 MMK (Myanmar Kyat). Once in Wundwin, you can hire a motorcycle taxi or walk approximately 12 kilometers to reach the base of Mount Main Ma Ye Thakinma. Be sure to negotiate the fare before starting your motorcycle taxi journey.

If you prefer a more direct route, after reaching Wundwin via bus, you can hire a motorcycle taxi directly to Mount Main Ma Ye Thakinma. This will save you time and effort. Expect to pay around 3,000-5,000 MMK for the trip, depending on your negotiation skills and the distance to the mountain.
