Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from the city center of Mandalay, head east on 26th Street towards 84th Street. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout at 58th Street. Take the second exit onto 60th Street, which leads directly to Mandalay Hill. Keep an eye out for the signs, as the road will lead you up the hill to the parking area at the foot of the hill. Parking fees may apply, typically around 1000 MMK (Myanmar Kyat).

• Public Transportation (Taxi)

  For a more comfortable option, you can take a taxi from your location in Mandalay directly to Mandalay Hill. Taxis are widely available and can be hailed from the street or booked via a local app. The fare should range from 3000 to 5000 MMK depending on your starting point. Make sure to agree on the price before you start your journey.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  If you're on a budget, you can use the local bus system. Look for a bus heading towards Mandalay Hill; they often depart from the central bus station or main streets. The fare is around 300 MMK. Board the bus and inform the driver of your destination; they will let you know when to get off. From the bus stop, it is a short walk to the foot of Mandalay Hill.

  If you are staying nearby, you can also consider walking to Mandalay Hill. The hill is accessible via several paths, and the main entrance is well-marked. The walk can be quite steep, so be prepared for some exercise. Ensure you have adequate water, especially if you're visiting during the hotter parts of the day.
