Car

If you're driving from Mandalay, take the A1 highway south towards Pyin Oo Lwin. After about an hour, merge onto the B6 road and continue until you reach the town of Ywa Ngan. From Ywa Ngan, follow the signs for Mount Main Ma Ye Thakinma, which should take around 30 minutes. The final approach may involve navigating smaller local roads, so keep an eye out for directional signs. Park your car in a designated area near the base of the mountain.

Bus

From Mandalay, take a bus to Pyin Oo Lwin. Buses leave frequently from the central bus station and the fare is approximately 2,000 MMK. Once in Pyin Oo Lwin, transfer to a local bus heading to Ywa Ngan, which will cost about 1,500 MMK. After arriving in Ywa Ngan, you can hire a local taxi or tricycle to take you the remaining distance to Mount Main Ma Ye Thakinma, which should cost around 3,000 MMK.

Motorbike Rental

After renting the bike (approximately 10,000 MMK per day), take the A1 highway south to Pyin Oo Lwin, then follow the B6 road to Ywa Ngan. The total ride should take around 2.5 hours.
