Getting There

  From Mandalay, take a bus to Pyin Oo Lwin. Buses leave frequently from the central bus station and the fare is approximately 2,000 MMK. Once in Pyin Oo Lwin, transfer to a local bus heading to Ywa Ngan, which will cost about 1,500 MMK. After arriving in Ywa Ngan, you can hire a local taxi or tricycle to take you the remaining distance to Mount Main Ma Ye Thakinma, which should cost around 3,000 MMK.
