Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from Mandalay, which is a major city in Central Myanmar. Head south on the Mandalay-Myitkyina Road (also known as Highway 1) for approximately 40 kilometers until you reach the town of Kyaukse. Once in Kyaukse, navigate to the coordinates H5XX+H4H, which is the location of Myin Sai. The drive should take around 1 hour, depending on traffic. Ensure your vehicle has enough fuel, as fuel stations may be sparse in rural areas.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  For those using public transportation, take a bus from Mandalay to Kyaukse. Buses leave frequently from the Mandalay Bus Terminal and take around 1-1.5 hours to reach Kyaukse. Once you arrive at the Kyaukse Bus Station, you can hire a local taxi or use a motorbike taxi to reach Myin Sai. The taxi ride from the bus station to H5XX+H4H will take approximately 15 minutes. Be prepared to negotiate the fare, which should be around 2,000-3,000 MMK.

  If you're looking for a bit more independence, consider renting a motorbike in Kyaukse. There are several rental shops near the bus station. After renting, follow the signs towards Myin Sai, which is a short 5-10 minute ride from the city center. Make sure you have a valid driver's license and wear a helmet, as it’s required by local law. Rental costs are typically around 5,000-10,000 MMK per day.
