Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Hpa-An, start at the main road near the Hpa-An bus station. Head south along the main road (also known as Kyauk Ka Lat Road) for approximately 4 kilometers. You will pass various shops and eateries. Continue until you reach the junction where the road splits into two. At this point, take the left fork towards Kaw Gon Cave. Follow the signs indicating 'Kaw Gon Cave' as you walk. The cave entrance will be on your left after about another 1 kilometer. You will see a small parking area and a few vendors selling snacks. The path to the cave is well-marked and leads you directly to the entrance.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Hpa-An. Start at the Hpa-An bus station and cycle south along Kyauk Ka Lat Road. After about 4 kilometers, you'll come to a fork in the road; take the left fork. Continue cycling for another kilometer, following the signs for Kaw Gon Cave. The cave entrance will be located on your left, and you can park your bicycle in the designated area close to the entrance.

  • Motorcycle taxi (locally known as 'Bike Taxi')

    If you would like a quicker option, you can take a motorcycle taxi from anywhere in Hpa-An. Simply tell the driver 'Kaw Gon Cave' or show them the location on your phone.
