Getting There

Walking
From the center of Hpa-An, head south on Main Street (Pansodan Road). Walk for about 1 km until you reach the junction with Yangon–Mawlamyine Road (also known as the A1 Highway). Continue straight onto the highway for approximately 2 km. You will see signposts for Mahar Sadan Cave. Once you reach the entrance to the cave area, follow the path leading up to the cave entrance. The walk should take about 30-40 minutes in total.

Bike rental
Rent a bike from one of the local shops in Hpa-An. Start from the town center and head south on Main Street (Pansodan Road). Continue onto the Yangon–Mawlamyine Road (A1 Highway) for about 2 km until you see the signs for Mahar Sadan Cave. The bike ride should take around 15-20 minutes. Park your bike at the designated area near the cave entrance and proceed on foot to explore the cave.

Hail a motorbike taxi from the center of Hpa-An. Inform the driver that you want to go to Mahar Sadan Cave. The driver will take you south on Main Street and onto the Yangon–Mawlamyine Road (A1 Highway). After about 2 km, you will arrive at the entrance to the cave area.
