If you are traveling by car, start from Hpa-An, the capital of Kayin State. Take the road towards Myawaddy and merge onto the National Highway 1 (NH1). Continue driving for about 75 kilometers (approximately 1.5 hours) until you reach the intersection near Mandalay. Look for signs directing you to Mandalay Palace. Once you arrive at Mandalay Palace, you will find parking available nearby. The Nanmyint Watchtower is located within the palace grounds, so be prepared to pay a small entrance fee of around 1,000 MMK (Myanmar Kyat) to enter the premises.

To reach Nanmyint Watchtower using public transportation, take a bus from Hpa-An to Mandalay. Buses are available frequently throughout the day, and the journey takes about 2-3 hours. Upon arriving in Mandalay, head to a local taxi stand or use a ride-hailing app to get to Mandalay Palace. The fare for the taxi ride from the bus station to the palace is approximately 3,000-5,000 MMK, depending on the distance and negotiation. Once at the palace, you will need to pay an entrance fee of around 1,000 MMK to access the grounds where Nanmyint Watchtower is located.
