Walking
From Kyaiktiyo, start at the base of the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda. Look for local signs indicating the nearest bus stop. Take a public bus or shared taxi to the town of Nyaung-U. The journey will take approximately 4-5 hours. Once you arrive in Nyaung-U, head towards Thiripyitsaya Block. The Balloons Over Bagan sales office is located near Hotel Zfreeti. You can ask locals for directions if needed, as they are usually very helpful.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Kyaiktiyo. Ride towards the main road and head to Nyaung-U. The distance is about 150 kilometers, so it is advisable to start early in the day. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks for the ride. Once you reach Nyaung-U, navigate to Thiripyitsaya Block where you'll find the Balloons Over Bagan sales office near Hotel Zfreeti.
Public Transport
From Kyaiktiyo, you can take a local bus to Nyaung-U. Head to the nearest bus station and look for buses heading to Nyaung-U. The journey takes around 4-5 hours.
