From the center of Pyin Oo Lwin, start at the main market area near the clock tower. Head south on 26th Street. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Mandalay Road (also known as Highway 1). Cross Mandalay Road and keep going straight onto a smaller road that leads towards the entrance of Kandawlay Lake. You will see signs indicating the lake. Continue on this path for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the entrance gate of Kandawlay Lake.

If you have access to a bicycle, start at the clock tower in Pyin Oo Lwin. Ride south down 26th Street for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach Mandalay Road. Turn left onto Mandalay Road and ride for about 200 meters before turning right onto the smaller road leading to Kandawlay Lake. Follow this road for roughly 1 kilometer until you arrive at the lake entrance. This route is relatively flat and offers a pleasant ride.

From your accommodation, request a trishaw to take you to Kandawlay Lake. Specify that you want to go to the lake, and the driver will likely know the way.
