Car
If you're traveling by car from Mandalay, head southwest on the Mandalay-Myitkyina Road (Highway 1). Continue for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach the town of Sagaing. Once in Sagaing, follow the signs to Inn Wa. Drive towards Inn Wa for about 10 kilometers. As you approach Inn Wa, look for the directions to Me Nu Brick Monastery. The monastery is located at VX5M+8RR, Inn Wa, which is set in a serene area, perfect for exploration.
Public Transportation
To reach Me Nu Brick Monastery via public transportation from Mandalay, take a bus to Sagaing from the Mandalay bus station. The bus fare is approximately 1,000 MMK (Myanmar Kyat) and the journey takes around 30-40 minutes. Upon arrival in Sagaing, you can board a local taxi or shared vehicle heading towards Inn Wa. The taxi fare should be around 3,000 to 5,000 MMK. Ask the driver to drop you off at VX5M+8RR, where Me Nu Brick Monastery is located.
Motorbike
For the adventurous, renting a motorbike in Mandalay is an excellent option. Rental shops are available throughout the city, with prices around 10,000 to 15,000 MMK per day. Once you have your motorbike, follow the same route as by car. After reaching Sagaing, continue onto Inn Wa, following the road signs. Riding gives you the flexibility to explore the surrounding area at your own pace.
Bicycle
For a more eco-friendly option, consider renting a bicycle in Mandalay. The ride to Inn Wa is about 35 kilometers and will take approximately 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Follow the same route on the Mandalay-Myitkyina Road to Sagaing, and then continue towards Inn Wa. Once you reach the vicinity of VX5M+8RR, you can lock your bike and explore Me Nu Brick Monastery on foot.
