Continue on this road for about 5 km until you see signposts for Phowintaung. The cave complex is located in Damapala, and you can park your car nearby.

    To reach Phowintaung by public bus, head to the Aung Mingalar Bus Station in Mandalay. Look for buses heading to Sagaing or Monywa. The bus fare is typically around 1,000 to 2,000 MMK. Once you arrive in Sagaing, you can take a local taxi or a motorbike taxi to get to Phowintaung. The distance from Sagaing to Phowintaung is approximately 15 km, and the taxi fare will range from 3,000 to 5,000 MMK.
