By Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Mandalay, which is approximately 20 kilometers away from Sagyin. Head south on the Mandalay-Sagaing Road (also known as National Route 1). Continue on this road for about 15 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Mwe Tha Laing Road. Turn left onto Mwe Tha Laing Road and drive for about 5 kilometers, following the signs towards Sagyin. You will see several local landmarks along the way, and as you approach Sagyin, look for the GPS coordinates (22.2904803, 96.0719712) to guide you to the exact location of Sagyin.
By Public Transport
To reach Sagyin by public transport, you can take a bus from Mandalay to Sagaing. Buses run frequently from the Mandalay Central Bus Station, and the fare is usually around 1,000 MMK (Myanmar Kyat). After arriving in Sagaing, you can hire a local taxi or ask for a shared taxi to take you to Sagyin. The taxi ride will take approximately 30 minutes and cost around 3,000-5,000 MMK, depending on your negotiation skills. Make sure to confirm the destination with the driver to ensure they know where Sagyin is located.
Walking from Nearby Locations
If you are already in Mwe Tha Laing, you can walk to Sagyin. Start from the center of Mwe Tha Laing and head east towards the Unnamed Road. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach the Sagyin area. This option is more suited for adventurous travelers who enjoy walking, and it will take approximately 25-30 minutes to reach Sagyin on foot.
