Car
If you are driving from Taunggyi, head southwest on the main road for about 20 kilometers. Follow the signs for Inle Lake and keep an eye out for the signs that indicate Nga Phe Chaung Monastery. Once you reach the village of Myayni Gone, look for the turnoff that leads to the monastery. There is limited parking available near the entrance.
Public Transportation
To reach Nga Phe Chaung Monastery via public transportation, take a bus from Taunggyi to Nyaungshwe, which usually takes around 1.5 hours and costs approximately 3,000 MMK. Once in Nyaungshwe, hire a local boat or take a tricycle to reach the monastery. The boat ride across Inle Lake to the monastery will take about 30 minutes and typically costs around 10,000 MMK per person.
Boat
If you are already on Inle Lake, you can reach the monastery directly by boat. You can hire a long-tail boat from any of the lakeside villages such as Nyaungshwe or Indein. The ride will take about 30 minutes, and the cost for a private boat is around 15,000 to 20,000 MMK depending on your negotiation skills.
