If you are in central Insein, start by heading towards the Insein Railway Station. From there, walk towards the east along Insein Road (also known as the Pyay Road). At the intersection with Pyay Road, look for a bus stop. You can take bus number 22 or 40, which will take you closer to Okkala Thiri Lake. Make sure to ask the driver or conductor to let you know when to get off for Okkala Thiri Lake, as they are familiar with tourists. The bus fare is usually around 200 to 300 MMK (Myanmar Kyat). The ride should take about 15-20 minutes.

After getting off the bus, you should be near the Okkala Thiri Lake area. From the bus stop, walk approximately 500 meters towards the south until you see the entrance to the lake area.
