If you are already in Insein, the most direct way to reach Insein Prison is by walking. Start from the Insein Railway Station. Exit the station and head east towards the main road, known as Pyay Road (also referred to as Highway 1). Once you reach Pyay Road, turn left and walk north. Continue walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you see the entrance to Insein Prison on your right. Look for the sign that says 'Insein Prison' to confirm you are at the right location.
