If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the town of Usakos, which is a convenient base in the Erongo region. From Usakos, head southeast on the C14 road. Continue driving for approximately 60 kilometers until you reach the Gaub Pass. The pass is located just off the C14 and is well-marked, so keep an eye out for road signs indicating the pass. The drive can be scenic, with opportunities to stop and take photos along the way.

Public Transportation

For those opting for public transportation, you can take a bus from Swakopmund or Windhoek to Usakos. Buses are available several times a day; make sure to check the schedule in advance. Once you arrive in Usakos, you may need to hire a taxi or arrange for a private shuttle to take you to Gaub Pass, as public transport may not go directly to the pass. The taxi fare from Usakos to Gaub Pass should be negotiated beforehand; expect to pay around 400-600 Namibian Dollars (NAD) for a round trip.
