Getting there

Car

If you are driving from Swakopmund, take the B2 highway towards Usakos. After approximately 85 km, turn left onto the C36 road towards Spitzkoppe. Continue on the C36 for about 25 km until you reach the Spitzkoppe entrance. Pay the park entrance fee, typically around N$ 50 per person, and follow the signs to Rock Pool, which is a short drive from the entrance.

Public Transportation

From Swakopmund, catch a shuttle or a tour bus that goes to Spitzkoppe. These are available through various local tour operators; prices can vary but expect to pay around N$ 300 to N$ 600 depending on the service. After reaching the Spitzkoppe entrance, you can hire a local taxi or guide to take you to the Rock Pool area. This may cost an additional N$ 100 to N$ 200.

Walking

Once you arrive at the Rock Pool area from the park entrance, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the Rock Pool itself. The trails are well marked, and it is advisable to wear comfortable shoes and carry water. The walk is relatively easy and should take about 15-30 minutes depending on your pace.
