Car

If you are driving from central Windhoek, take B1 road heading north. Continue for about 45 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for Avis. Follow the signs towards Avis Reservoir. Upon entering the Avis area, look for Avis Dam Road and follow it until you reach the reservoir. There is no entrance fee, and parking is available at the site.

Public Transportation

To reach Avis Reservoir using public transportation, take a taxi or bus from central Windhoek to the Avis area. Look for taxi services that specifically go to Avis. Once you arrive in Avis, you may need to walk approximately 1 km to the reservoir. Be sure to check the return schedule for your transportation, as public transport can be limited.
