From Windhoek, head north on the B1 highway towards Okahandja. Continue on the B1 for approximately 170 kilometers until you reach Otjiwarongo. Upon entering Otjiwarongo, look for the signs directing you to the B1 to continue north. Approximately 14 kilometers north of Otjiwarongo, you will see signs for Okonjima Nature Reserve on your left. Turn left onto the gravel road and follow the signs to the reserve. Please note that the road may be unpaved, so drive cautiously.

To reach Okonjima Nature Reserve via public transportation, take a bus from Windhoek to Otjiwarongo. Several bus companies operate this route, such as Intercape and Greyhound, and the journey takes about 2 to 2.5 hours. Once in Otjiwarongo, you can either book a shuttle service or a taxi to Okonjima Nature Reserve, which is approximately 14 kilometers away.
