Car
If you're traveling by car, start your journey in the Erongo region. From the town of Swakopmund, take the B2 highway heading north. Continue on the B2 until you reach the junction with the C35. Turn onto the C35 and follow it for approximately 130 kilometers. Be sure to keep an eye out for signs pointing to Kamanjab. Once you arrive in Kamanjab, continue on the C35, and look for the coordinates 82JF+HCC, which will lead you directly to Otjikandero Himba Orphan Village. The drive should take around 2 hours and 30 minutes, depending on traffic and road conditions.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, head to the nearest bus station in Swakopmund or Walvis Bay. Look for long-distance buses heading to Kamanjab, as these are the best option to reach the area. The bus ride to Kamanjab will take approximately 3 to 4 hours.
