Getting There

Car
If you're starting from Swakopmund, head north on the B2 highway for approximately 130 kilometers. After reaching the town of Henties Bay, continue driving north for about 50 kilometers until you reach the junction with the C34 road. Turn left onto the C34 and follow the signs for Skeleton Coast Park. Note that you will need to pay an entrance fee to the park at the gate, which is approximately 80 Namibian Dollars (NAD) per person. Continue on the C34 for about 30 kilometers until you reach Mowe Bay, where you will find Shipwreck Lodge on the coast.

Public Transportation
From Swakopmund, you can take a shuttle or bus service to Henties Bay. The cost for this trip usually ranges from 200 to 300 NAD. Once in Henties Bay, you will need to arrange for a taxi or a private transfer to take you to Shipwreck Lodge. This part of the journey may cost around 500 NAD, and the driver will need to be aware that the destination is within Skeleton Coast Park.

Self-Drive
If you have a rental car, make sure it's suitable for rough terrain, as the roads can be challenging. After reaching Mowe Bay via the C34, keep an eye out for the lodge signs. The lodge is situated along the coast, and you will be driving through beautiful desert landscapes. Ensure you have sufficient fuel before departing as there are limited fuel stations in the area.
