Car
To reach Khaudum National Park from Hardap by car, start by heading northeast on the B1 road towards Windhoek. After about 150 km, take the turnoff onto the C20 road towards Gobabis. Continue on the C20 for approximately 30 km until you reach the junction with the D2004 road. Turn right onto the D2004, which will take you towards Khaudum National Park. The park entrance is about 120 km from this junction, and the road may be rough, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Ensure you have adequate fuel and supplies as services are limited in this remote area.
Public Transportation
If traveling by public transportation, take a bus from Hardap to Tsumeb. Buses run regularly but check the schedule in advance. Once in Tsumeb, you will need to arrange for a taxi or a shuttle service to take you to Khaudum National Park, as there is no direct public transport to the park. The taxi ride may cost between N$400 to N$600 depending on the type of vehicle and negotiation. It is advisable to book this transport in advance due to the park's remote location.
