Car
From Hardap, head north on the B1 road towards Windhoek. After approximately 85 kilometers, turn left onto the C38 road, which leads you through the scenic landscapes of Namibia. Continue on the C38 for about 90 kilometers until you reach the Etosha National Park entrance at Anderson Gate. Once you've entered the park, follow the signs to Okaukuejo, which is about 17 kilometers from the entrance. The road is well-maintained, but be cautious of wildlife crossing.
Public Transportation
To reach Okaukuejo via public transport, start by taking a bus from Hardap to Windhoek. Buses are available throughout the day and take about 2 hours. Once in Windhoek, you can take another bus to Outjo, which takes approximately 4 hours. From Outjo, you will need to arrange a taxi or shuttle service to Okaukuejo, as public transport doesn't directly reach the lodge. The distance from Outjo to Okaukuejo is about 90 kilometers. Taxi fares may vary, so it’s advisable to negotiate the fare beforehand.
Private Shuttle Service
For a more comfortable and direct route, consider booking a private shuttle service from Hardap to Okaukuejo. This option can be arranged through local travel agencies or accommodation services. A private shuttle can pick you up from your location in Hardap and take you directly to Okaukuejo, which would be the most convenient option. Prices for private shuttles vary depending on the provider and the number of passengers but expect to pay around N$ 1000 to N$ 1500 for the journey.
