Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Hardap. Take the B1 highway north towards Windhoek. After approximately 160 km, follow the signs to Swakopmund on the C14 road. Continue on C14 until you reach the junction with the B2 highway. Turn left onto the B2 heading towards Swakopmund. After about 80 km, you will arrive in Swakopmund. Follow the main road (Twyfelfontein Road) until you reach the coast, and then turn left onto Strand Street. Continue straight until you reach the area near the Swakopmund Mole (8GGC+667). Look for parking available nearby. Note that fuel costs and possible tolls should be considered.

• Public Transportation

  For public transportation, you can catch a long-distance bus from Hardap to Swakopmund. Companies like Intercape or Windhoek Bus operate services from the main bus terminal. Ensure you check the schedule in advance, as bus times may vary. The journey can take around 2 to 3 hours, costing approximately 200-300 Namibian Dollars. Once you arrive at the Swakopmund bus terminal, take a local taxi or shuttle service to reach Swakopmund Mole. Taxis are readily available and should cost around 50 Namibian Dollars for a short trip to the Mole.

• Taxi

  If you are already in Swakopmund but not at the Mole, you can hire a local taxi. Taxis are relatively inexpensive and can be flagged down or booked via phone. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Swakopmund Mole (8GGC+667). The fare should be around 50-100 Namibian Dollars depending on your starting point within the city.
