Getting There

• Walking

  Start at the central market of Karibib, located at the intersection of Main Street and Railway Avenue. Head south on Main Street for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with the B2 road. Continue straight onto the B2 road, which is a well-marked route towards Okahandja. The walk will take about 15-20 minutes. Once you reach the B2 road, look for signs that indicate the direction to Okahandja. Follow the B2 road for another 1.5 kilometers until you arrive at Rest Area 5. You will see clear signage marking the rest area. It's a safe and straightforward walk with some local scenery along the way.

• Bicycle

  If you have access to a bicycle, start from the central market of Karibib and head south on Main Street. Continue for about 1 kilometer until you reach the B2 road. Turn onto the B2 road and follow it for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Ensure to stay on the designated bicycle lanes where available. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes, and you will find Rest Area 5 well-signposted on your left side as you approach.

• Public Transport

  While there may not be direct public transport routes from Karibib to Okahandja, you can take a local taxi or shuttle service. Start at the main taxi rank in Karibib, which is located near the central market. Ask for a taxi heading toward Okahandja. The fare is usually reasonable, but confirm the price before getting in. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Inform the driver to drop you off at Rest Area 5, which is located along the B2 road.
