Car
If you're driving from Rundu, start on the B10 road heading northeast. Follow the signs for Rundu and continue for about 10 kilometers. After passing the Rundu town center, look for the turnoff to Hakusembe River Road. Turn left onto Hakusembe River Road and continue for about 5 kilometers. The lodge will be on your right. Make sure to have a GPS or a map handy, as this area can be rural and signage may be limited.
Taxi
If you don't have a car, you can hire a taxi from Rundu to the Hakusembe River Lodge. Taxis are available in the town center, and the fare to the lodge is approximately NAD 150-200. Be sure to negotiate the price before starting your journey. The drive will take about 20 minutes, and the taxi will take you directly to the lodge.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, you can take a minibus taxi from Rundu to the nearby village of Kanzoni. The minibus taxis leave from the main taxi rank in Rundu. Once you arrive in Kanzoni, it's about a 2-kilometer walk to the lodge, so be prepared for a short hike. Alternatively, you can ask a local for a lift or contact the lodge in advance to arrange for a pickup, which may incur an additional fee.
