Car
If you are driving, start from Rundu, the largest town in the Kavango Region. Head east on the B10 highway towards Divundu. After approximately 90 kilometers, turn left onto the D3401 road. Continue on this road for about 40 kilometers until you reach the turn for Kanzoni. Samsitu Campsite is located at GPS coordinates -17.8501652, 19.6684992. Look for signs indicating the campsite as you get closer.
Public Transportation (Taxi/Bus)
From Rundu, you can take a local taxi or minibus heading towards Divundu. The fare should be around 60-80 Namibian Dollars (NAD). Ask the driver to drop you off at the junction for D3401 road. From there, you may need to arrange a local taxi or walk to the campsite, which is about 40 kilometers away. It is advisable to negotiate a fare for a local taxi to take you directly to Samsitu Campsite.
Walking (if necessary)
If you find yourself needing to walk from the junction of D3401 to the campsite, be prepared for a long walk of approximately 40 kilometers. It is advisable to start early in the morning to avoid the heat and to bring plenty of water. Alternatively, consider hitchhiking if you feel comfortable doing so, as locals and tourists alike may be willing to give you a ride.
