Getting there

Car

If you are driving, head south on the B8 from any point in Kavango. Continue on the B8 for approximately 150 kilometers until you reach the junction with the M10 road. Turn left onto the M10 heading towards Zambia. Continue on the M10 for about 30 kilometers until you see signs for Sioma Falls. The falls are located just off the road, and there will be a small parking area available. Note that you may need to pay a small fee to access the viewing area.

Public Transportation

For those using public transport, take a local bus or taxi from any town in Kavango heading towards Katima Mulilo. Ensure to tell the driver you wish to go to Sioma Falls. The journey may take several hours, so be prepared for a long trip. Once you arrive at the nearest drop-off point to Sioma Falls, you may need to hire a local taxi or walk approximately 5 kilometers to reach the falls. Be aware that there might be a small entrance fee to access the falls.

Combination of Car and Walking

If you have access to a car but are staying in a more remote area, drive towards the M10 and park at the nearest available spot. From there, you can walk the last stretch, which is about 2 kilometers to reach the viewpoint of Sioma Falls. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring plenty of water, as there may not be facilities nearby.
