Car
If you're driving from Windhoek, take the B1 highway south towards the town of Rehoboth. Continue on the B1 until you reach the turnoff for the C24 road, heading towards the Namib Desert. Continue on the C24 for about 60 km until you reach the junction with the C27 road. Turn left onto the C27 and drive for approximately 90 km. You will see signs directing you to the NaDEET Centre. The centre is located at coordinates -25.226902, 16.061309, so use a GPS device for precise navigation.
Public Transportation
To reach NaDEET Centre via public transport, take a bus from Windhoek to the nearest town, which is Solitaire. Bus services such as Intercape or other local providers operate on this route. Once at Solitaire, you will need to hire a taxi or arrange for a local shuttle service to reach the NaDEET Centre, which is about 40 km away. Ensure to confirm the fare with the driver beforehand.
Taxi or Shuttle
If you are already within the Namib Desert area, you can hire a taxi from nearby lodges or settlements. The nearest lodge is about 20 km from the NaDEET Centre, and taxis can be arranged through them. Prices may vary, so be sure to negotiate the fare before getting in. The approximate cost should range from 300 to 500 Namibian Dollars depending on your location.
