From the Ongwediva town center, head east on the main road, which is 3rd Avenue. Continue straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the B1 highway. Cross the highway carefully and continue on the same road, following the signs towards Olukonda. After walking for about 2 kilometers, you will see signs pointing to Nakambale Museum. Follow the signs, which will lead you through the local area for another kilometer until you reach the museum entrance.
Bicycle
If you're traveling by bicycle, start from the Ongwediva central market and head east on 3rd Avenue. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the B1 highway. Use the pedestrian crossing to safely cross the highway and continue along the same road towards Olukonda. After approximately 2 kilometers, look for signs indicating Nakambale Museum. Follow the signs through the local neighborhood for another kilometer until you arrive at the museum.
Public Transportation
To reach Nakambale Museum via public transport, you can take a local taxi or minibus from Ongwediva. Head to the taxi rank and look for a taxi heading towards Olukonda. Inform the driver that you want to go to Nakambale Museum. The ride should take around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Olukonda, ask the driver to drop you near the museum. From there, it's just a short walk to the entrance.
