Car
From Oshikoto, head south on the B1 road towards Grootfontein. The journey is approximately 75 kilometers and will take about an hour. Once you reach Grootfontein, look for the signs leading to the Hoba Meteorite. Continue on the B8 road and then take the turnoff to Hoba West Farm. You will find parking available near the meteorite site. Note that there is an entrance fee of 250 Namibian dollars per person.
Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, take a bus from Oshikoto to Grootfontein. Buses regularly leave from various points in Oshikoto, and the fare is typically around 50 Namibian dollars. Once you arrive in Grootfontein, you can hire a taxi to take you the remaining 20 kilometers to Hoba Meteorite. The taxi fare should be around 150 to 200 Namibian dollars. Remember to confirm the fare before starting your journey.
Taxi
If you prefer a direct route, you can hire a taxi from Oshikoto to Hoba Meteorite. This option is more expensive, with fares ranging from 800 to 1000 Namibian dollars, but it provides the convenience of door-to-door service. Ensure to negotiate the price beforehand and confirm that the driver knows the exact location of Hoba Meteorite.
