Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Oshikoto. Head southwest on the main road (D3022) towards the direction of Tsumeb. Continue on D3022 for approximately 35 kilometers. Follow the signs for Lion King Rock. The rock formation will be visible from the road, and there is parking available nearby. Be cautious of the dirt road leading to the rock; a 4x4 vehicle is recommended for this part.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a taxi or a bus from Oshikoto to Tsumeb. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the D3022 junction heading towards Lion King Rock. This ride will cost you around 20-30 Namibian dollars. Once you are dropped off, you will need to walk along D3022 for about 5 kilometers to reach Lion King Rock. It's advisable to have a map or a GPS-enabled device for navigation as the area might not have clear signposts.
Walking
If you are near the D3022 road and prefer to walk, you can start from the nearest bus stop or taxi drop-off point. Walk along D3022 for approximately 5 kilometers. Keep an eye for the Lion King Rock on your left; it is a prominent landmark that should be visible from a distance. Ensure you wear comfortable walking shoes, as the terrain may be uneven.
