Car
If you are traveling by car from Oshikoto, head south on the B1 road. Continue on this road for approximately 90 kilometers until you reach the junction for the C38 road. Turn left onto the C38 road and follow it for about 40 kilometers until you see the signs for Etosha National Park. Once you reach the park entrance, pay the entrance fee (approximately NAD 80 per person for Namibians and higher for foreign visitors). After entering, follow the signs to Okaukuejo, which is about 17 kilometers from the entrance on the main park road. The camping area is well-marked, and you will arrive at RW98+CV9, Okaukuejo.
Public Transportation
To reach Okaukuejo Camping Area via public transport, start by taking a bus or shuttle from Oshikoto to the nearest town with transport connections to Etosha National Park, such as Outjo or Tsumeb. The trip usually costs around NAD 200-300. From either town, you will need to hire a taxi or arrange a shuttle to the Etosha National Park entrance. The taxi fare may vary, but expect to pay around NAD 800-1000 for the 100 km distance. After entering the park, follow the directions to Okaukuejo as mentioned above.
