Getting There
Car
If you're traveling by car, make your way towards the Etosha National Park. From the main road in Otjozondjupa, head north on the C38 road. Continue on the C38 for approximately 90 kilometers until you reach the Anderson Gate, which is the main entrance to Etosha National Park. After passing through the gate, follow the main park road (the D1441) for about 20 kilometers, and you will arrive at the Okaukuejo resort. Ensure you have your park entrance fees ready, which cost about N$ 80 for Namibians and N$ 300 for international visitors.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can catch a bus from Windhoek to Outjo. The bus departs regularly from the Windhoek bus station and costs around N$ 300. Once in Outjo, you will need to take a taxi or arranged shuttle to the Anderson Gate of Etosha National Park, which is about 70 kilometers away. The taxi fare might range from N$ 500 to N$ 600, depending on negotiation. After entering the park, you can either drive to Okaukuejo or arrange for a guided tour that includes transport.
Shuttle Service
Some hotels and lodges in Otjozondjupa offer shuttle services to Okaukuejo. Check with your accommodation to see if they provide this service, which generally costs around N$ 600 per person. The shuttle will pick you up from your lodge and take you directly to Okaukuejo within the park.
