Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Swakopmund, head west on the B2 towards Henties Bay. After approximately 30 km, take the exit toward the C34 road. Continue on the C34, and after about 15 km, you will reach the Skeleton Coast National Park entrance. Be mindful of the park entrance fee, which is around N$ 80 per person. Once you enter the park, follow the C34 road until you reach the junction with the D2302 road. Turn left onto D2302, and after a short distance, you will find Skeleton Beach Backpackers located at 14 Moses Garoeb str, Vineta, Swakopmund.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Windhoek to Swakopmund, which is available through various bus services such as Intercape or Eagle Liner. The journey takes around 4 to 5 hours and costs approximately N$ 300. Once you arrive in Swakopmund, you can take a taxi to Skeleton Beach Backpackers. Inform the driver to take you to 14 Moses Garoeb str in Vineta, Swakopmund. The taxi fare should be around N$ 100 to N$ 150, depending on the distance and time of day.

  For those already in Swakopmund, you can easily get a local taxi or rideshare to Skeleton Beach Backpackers. Simply provide the driver with the address: 14 Moses Garoeb str, Vineta, Swakopmund. The fare should be about N$ 100 to N$ 150. Be sure to negotiate the fare before starting your trip if the taxi is not metered.
