Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the Usakos Railway Station. Head southeast on the main road (B2) towards Swakopmund. Continue straight for about 40 km until you reach the junction near Karibib. At the junction, take the left turn onto the C34 road towards Swakopmund. Follow this road for approximately 120 km. As you approach Swakopmund, look for signs directing you to the city center. Once in Swakopmund, turn onto Strand Street where the National Marine Aquarium is located at 1 Strand St. The aquarium will be on your right.

  • Bicycle

    Begin your journey at the Usakos town center. Head south towards the B2 road. Once you reach the B2, turn left and follow the road towards Swakopmund. Make sure to stay on the designated cycling paths if available. After approximately 40 km, you will reach a junction; turn left onto the C34 and continue for another 120 km until you enter Swakopmund. Once in the city, navigate to Strand Street and locate the aquarium at 1 Strand St.

  • Public Transport

    From Usakos, take a bus heading towards Swakopmund. You can find the bus station located near the town center. The journey will take approximately 2-3 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Swakopmund, get off at the main bus terminal. From there, head towards Strand Street; you can either walk (approximately 20 minutes) or take a local taxi to reach the National Marine Aquarium located at 1 Strand St.
