Walking
If you are starting from the Windhoek City Centre, head northeast on Independence Avenue. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Robert Mugabe Avenue. Turn left onto Robert Mugabe Avenue and walk for approximately 500 meters. You will see the National Art Gallery on your right. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Nelson Mandela Avenue. Turn right and walk for another 300 meters. OUDSTRYDERS MEMORIAL will be located on your left, identifiable by its distinctive architecture and surrounding park area.
Public Transport
From the Windhoek City Centre, you can take a local bus or taxi (commonly known as 'kombi') heading towards the Windhoek Central area. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to the National Art Gallery. Once you get off, walk along Robert Mugabe Avenue heading north. After about 500 meters, turn right onto Nelson Mandela Avenue and continue for another 300 meters. OUDSTRYDERS MEMORIAL will be on your left.
