Car
If you are driving from Katima Mulilo, head east on the B8 road for approximately 70 kilometers. You will pass through some small villages and beautiful landscapes. Look for signs directing you to Mudumu National Park. Once you reach the park entrance at the coordinates WG3G+C39, you will need to pay an entrance fee, which is generally around NAD 50 per person. Ensure you have cash on hand as card payments may not be accepted.
Public Transportation
To reach Mudumu National Park using public transportation, start by taking a minibus taxi from Katima Mulilo to the town of Kongola. The fare is typically around NAD 30. Once in Kongola, you may need to hire a local taxi or arrange for a shuttle service to take you the remaining 30 kilometers to the park entrance. Be sure to negotiate the fare in advance; it might cost around NAD 200 for the short ride. Confirm the taxi driver knows the way to Mudumu National Park.
Walking
If you find yourself close to the park and prefer walking, you can walk from the nearest village to Mudumu National Park. However, this is not recommended unless you are familiar with the area and well-prepared for the journey. Make sure to carry enough water, wear appropriate clothing, and inform someone about your plans.
